Comparative test of the use of ECOLEDBIO and DNaT 600W lamps at the AVSEN TIC, the Republic of Crimea
In January 2017, the second test experience was completed, which we conducted together with the Avsen TIC (the Republic of Crimea, Bakhchisaray district). The aim of the experiment was to show how the ECOLEDBIO lamps affect the cucumber seedlings of the Tumi hybrid and how much more efficient they are compared to conventional gas-discharge lamps.
The ECOLEDBIO lamp of the ECOLED-100-OS BIO series was chosen for the experiment, which was installed in the greenhouse complex of Avsen TIC LLC. The experiment was performed from December 23, 2016 to January 15, 2017.
Despite this short-term experiment, the results were the same. The cucumber seedlings, which were lit by the DNaT600 lamps, had the same degree of development as the ones that were located under the ECOLEDBIO LED lamps. The plants had approximately the same developed root system, the size of leaves and stems, and the tolerance was 4-6%.
At the same time, the energy consumption at the set areas varied greatly: after the installation of the ECOLEDBIO lamps, the energy consumption 2.5 times decreased, which allows significant savings with the same results.
In future, it will be possible to reduce energy consumption through the correct placement of the lamps in the greenhouse, while the efficiency will remain the same.
